This Batch Controller has been designed for industrial application to fulfill the needs of weight based batching and controlling applications. In-built software features have been provided for setting the batch controller as per field requirements. The Batch Controller can be used for applications like Bag Filling (Sugar, Cement etc)

Model BC04 is a state of the art Digital Batching Controller designed for harsh industrial environment. Signals from one weighing platform is input to the BC-04. This input could be from a single load cell structure or multiple load cell structure. The product has been field tested for a long time and has proved highly accurate and reliable even in extreme operating conditions. Enhanced Software features have made the product very easy to handle even by low trained technicians. The product has a lot of accuracy and reliability features over the traditional and outdated designed similar controllers. The design features incorporated in the controller offer extreme reliability even in the harshest industrial environment.
Software features include the following:
  • Software Calibration of the weigh platform, without changing any internal resistors for gain or dead load. The calibration process is software based using front panel keyboard and gain and dead load are set automatically by software commands.
  • Display test option is provided to check the quality status of all the segments on the display. This feature can be used to check if all the displays and indication LEDs are in order.
  • Relay test option to test if all the relays are functionally OK.
  • Multi level password protection for preventing accidental or un authorized changes in calibration and other run time parameters.
  • Hardware Features:
  • 24BIT ADC for converting analog weight signal to precision digital output for display and transmission on RS232 serial port. In industrial weighing applications, this leads to more accuracy in the results.
  • Very high speed of Analog to Digital conversion leading to more than 200 weighing samples per second. This is very important in industrial weighing and control applications where quick action is to be taken on weight sensed. Fast speed of Analog to Digital conversion will result in higher accuracies in weighment with control functions.
  • SMPS power supply for handling a wide variation in the input supply. The system is capable of running very efficiently for input supply ranging from 90V to 270V AC. This makes it suitable for harsh industrial environment and even with the use of generator sets.
  • Provision for 6 potential free relay output for connecting solenoids valves / contactor coils for control application. These outputs are optically isolated for system reliability and electrical noise immunity. Provision for 4 optically isolated digital inputs. These inputs can be connected to external switches (manual switch, limit switch, proximity switch etc) for providing interlocking function during batching and controlling process.
  • Line Filters and EMI /RFI protection circuit incorporated to make the system noise immune in the harshest of industrial environment. Open System Architecture allows enhancement with application needs and technology upgrades. Dual Display on front panel to display current platform weight, target weight, programming parameters, alarms and total of process. 16 key front keyboard for programming and operating the batch controller. Key Lock option is provided to prevent un-authorized use of the keyboard for programming or operating the system. During the critical phase of the process, the keyboard is locked. Emergency stop key is provided for stopping the process at any stage, in case of emergency.
