Co2 Type Fire Extinguishers

CO2 is heavier than oxygen so these extinguishers work by displacing or taking away oxygen from the area surrounding the fire. Co2 extinguishers are also preferred for fire involving electrical devices or server room equipments as it does not leave any residue after fire is doused and hence causes no damages to the costly devices. CO2 is also very cold so it also works by cooling the fuel. This is one of the most common type of fire extinguishers used for small fires. The user of fire extinguisher should have minimum training and should know how to use it.
