Dry Powder Fire Extinguishers can be used for almost all classes of fire including A, B and C fires. It can also be used on fire involving electrical equipments Powder Extinguisher only extinguish the fire and does not cool the area and so fire can re ignite. Powder Extinguishers can also blur the vision and may create breathing problem in the area of fire. It should also be avoided in a confined area unless there is no alternative. When used on electrical items or server room equipments, it may damage them as residue of the powder would be left after the fire is doused.
