FM200 Gas based Fire Suppression Systems FM200 Gas based Fire Suppression Systems The proposed fire fighting/fire alarm system is highly recommended in environments where water based system is not applicable. The prime objective of this technique is to constantly detect smokes of different natures and then release a gaseous fire extinguishing agent at a calculated density without damaging the IT equipment of high value and harming human life or environment in case of a positive detection. The detection system is composed of a fire control panel, a set of fire detectors and a warning bell. The fire suppression system comprises of a main cylinder containing the extinguishing agent, a piping system leading to a set of nozzles strategically located in the different room voids. The used agent is the Firex200, which is well known for its features and advantages.

Linear Heat Detection Systems Linear Heat Detector is a proprietary cable that detects heat anywhere along its length. The sensor cable is comprised of two steel conductors individually insulated with a heat sensitive polymer. The insulated conductors are twisted together to impose a spring pressure between them, then wrapped with a protective tape and finished with an outer jacket suitable for the environment in which the Detector will be installed. L H wire is a fixed temperature digital sensor and is therefore capable of initiating an alarm once its rated activation temperature is reached. At the rated temperature, the heat sensitive polymer insulation yields to the pressure upon it, permitting the inner conductors to move into contact with each other thereby initiating an alarm signal. This action takes place at the first heated point anywhere along the Detector's length. It does not require that a specific length be heated in order to initiate an alarm nor is system calibration necessary to compensate for changes in the installed ambient temperature. Linear Heat Detector provides the advantages of line coverage with point sensitivity.

Air Sampling Based High Sensitivity Smoke Detection Systems A fire detection system is that offers the earliest possible warning of a potential fire. VESDA work by continually drawing air into the pipe network via a high efficiency aspirator. A sample of this air is then passed through a dual stage filter. The first stage removes dust and dirt from the air sample before it allows the sample to enter the laser detection chamber for smoke detection.From the filter, the air sample is passed through to the calibrated detection chamber where it is exposed to a stable controlled laser light source. When smoke is present, light is scattered within the detection chamber and is instantly identified by the highly sensitive receiver system. The signal is then processed and presented via a bar graph display, alarm threshold indicators and/or graphic display. The VESDA detectors are able to communicate this information to a fire alarm control panel, a software management system or a building management system via relays or a high level interface (HLI).
